Building managers

Your building probably qualifies for a heat pump – even if most people say it doesn't.

Our renovations have shown that heat pumps can work with radiators and imperfect insulation in 80% of existing buildings. Switching to a heat pump is the most cost effective investment you can make for raising your building's EPC and reducing its energy costs.

In practice.

This series of buildings from the 1950s have individual gas boilers that need to be replaced. The convectors are often over-sized since the roofs have been insulated and some single pane windows have been replaced. The required water temperature for heating during the coldest days of winter is 50°C. Since the site is a cultural heritage, there are a lot of restrictions.

Heatify confirmed the buildings qualified for a centralized heat pump with a district heating and cooling network and designed the system. Heatify will build it, co-finance it, and operate it with full technical responsibility for the next 20 years.

The client paid a fraction of the CAPEX compared to new gas boilers and lowered their monthly bills by 30% compared to gas (guaranteed). All that while reducing the CO2 emissions of the heating system by 83%. The VME is free of any technical burden for the next 20 years.

The Royal Entrepot is a 22'000 square-meter office and residential building built in 2003. The office owners wanted to replace their existing cooling system with a new one.

Heatify designed a heat pump system that not only cools more efficiently but also provides heating to the building. We co-invested in the installation and are supplying heating and cooling to the co-owner's association (VME) for 20 years.

Co-owners paid a fraction of the CAPEX and lowered their monthly bills while renovating their heating and cooling system. The VME is free of any technical burden for the next 20 years.
